Shift Supervisor /LRI


Hours: Wed-Fri – 4pm-4:30am Sat – 4pm-1:30am


During busy season – Thurs-Sun – 4pm-1:30pm (except TH will start at 8pm). Once busy season is over, it will go back to Wed-Fri and Sat schedule.

Dress code : Jeans/T-shirt, close toed shoes, nothing offensive, no Jewelry

Length of assignment: Evaluation Hire (temp to hire) depending on job performance, attitude, and attendance

List job responsibilities in order of priority

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include and training employees; planning assigning and directing/work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


  • Supervise the activities of the warehouse personnel including planning and assigning the workload, answering questions, and providing direction on problems that may arise in the performance of their duties.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Enforces and adheres to all company rules, regulations, procedures, and policies.
  • Train department personnel as needed. Assures all warehouse employees are following Company, State or Federal safety practices.
  • Notify maintenance personnel of any mechanical problems such as electrical or building defects and maintenance needed on equipment.
  • Inspect warehouse daily for damaged merchandise and pallets, storage or sanitation problems, etc., and arranges for their correction.
  • With the Operations Manager, determine optimum storage location and pick slots for merchandise and change when necessary.
  • Make recommendations to the Operations Manager for improved operation of the department.
  • Attend and participate in departmental and company meetings at the request of management.
  • Notify Operations Manager of any ongoing personnel issues, i.e. tardiness, absenteeism, personality conflicts or erratic behavior of warehouse to transportation employees.
  • Assist in implementing disciplinary action when an Operations Manager is unavailable. This does not include termination of employees.
  • Keep receiving, shipping and all warehouse areas neat, clean, and safe.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.







With growth comes additional responsibilities. Provided below is a list of daily Supervisor responsibilities:

Housekeeping – At the beginning of each shift, employees will receive their aisle assignments. Supervisors will be responsible for ensuring all assignments are complete and meet RRDL expectations. This includes (but is not limited to) the following:

Paper and debris will be swept from the aisle way.

All loose magazines, bundles, trays and debris will be removed from in-between the rack-aisles. This includes all rack shelving/bay-locations.

All trashcans are emptied and returned to their assigned areas.


Assigned aisle assignments must be completed before work assignments are issued.


Trailer and Work Assignments – Supervisors are responsible for properly spotting trailers. Door assignments must be based upon geographical location.



Inbound Put-away – Hourly employees are responsible for bay-locating freight geographically. In turn, the Supervisors are responsible for insuring

this process is adhered to. Supervisors must check all completed inbound checklist to ensure procedures are followed.

Outbound Process – Supervisors must ensure load integrity. All outbound loads must be inspected by a Supervisor/Lead and accompanied by a load quality form.


Accountability – All employee issues/disciplinary action must be addressed immediately. Supervisors will be responsible for these actions. In addition, all issues must be reported to the Facility/Operations Managers.


Supervisor/Lead - Presence on the Dock – Supervisors are responsible for the actions/productivity of their Lead FLO’s. Under no circumstances should

Leads stand around the platform. The main responsibility of the lead-dock person is to monitor employee production, safety, and availability to assist dock employees. In the same respect, Supervisors must monitor the dock on a regular basis. This includes walking/inspecting all areas of the operation.


Employee Training – All employees are to be trained in all aspects of the job (inbound, outbound, inventory, etc.). Supervisors are responsible for insuring every employee is capable of every job function.


Professional Attitude – Supervisors must always exhibit a professional attitude. Under no circumstances is it acceptable to make inappropriate comments or sexual advances to any employees. Such instances will result in immediate termination of employment.


In the event any member of the supervisory staff fails to perform to these standards, will be subject to disciplinary action and/or immediate termination of employment.
