Summary of Job:
Support Insights and Research team leads on initiatives across EmblemHealth's family of companies to analyze business needs and manage research projects, both primary (quantitative and qualitative) and secondary.  Utilize data and research to provide meaningful insights throughout the organization to help to solve business challenges with our audiences and drive results.


  • Support and project manage primary market research projects across EmblemHealth's portfolio of companies, including research design, execution and analysis.
  • Conduct traditional and online market research in-house and through third-party vendors, including focus groups, voice of the customer sessions, social listening, online surveys, secret shopping and in-depth interviews.
  • Lead project management for research deliverables to support project leads, including recommending internal platforms for research, sourcing and managing multiple vendor relationships for third-party research, programming surveys, QA'ing surveys, questionnaire development and maintaining files, trackers and project plans.
  • Leverage secondary data, including syndicated reports, databases and competitive intelligence, to supplement and enhance primary market research. 
  • Support the creation of internal and external research hubs to host Insights and Research deliverables for cross-functional access (internal) and thought leadership (external) needs.
  • Socialize research outputs using a story-based reporting approach, incorporating results into various formats (e.g., one-pagers, infographics, presentations, workshops).
  • Produce timely reporting (automated and custom) that is actionable and easy to understand. 
  • Produce competitive intelligence reports and analyses, working with internal partners to assess and refine needs.


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, psychology, statistics, data science or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years' relevant work experience, including the practical application of research methods to business contexts. (R)
  • Experience in supporting or directly managing both qualitative and quantitative consumer research projects. (R)
  • Experience or interest in health care. (P)
  • Self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities to innovate, collaborate and realize efficiencies. (R)
  • Compelling communicator who is able to synthesize research and data into a clear, actionable business narrative. (R)
  • Excellent attention-to-detail, organization, and accountability. (R)
