Enterprise Risk Management Analyst II - Vendor Management

SUMMARY

Under general supervision assists with the administration of the Vendor Management Program initiatives and supports Stifel's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework. This position will be responsible for third party vendor oversight activities including, but not limited, to: performing risk assessments, conducting due diligence reviews, review and analysis of vendor due diligence, provide guidance to relationship owners on third party risk, manage and document due diligence efforts in Stifel's third party vendor management system, prepare reports on third party vendor metrics to be distributed across various channels within Stifel, provide support for ad hoc vendor management projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Vendor Management projects and initiatives to drive improvements to key processes and controls.
  • Conduct vendor risk assessments and ongoing due diligence across Stifel's vendor population.
  • Responsible for identifying and performing critical analysis of potential risk exposure to the Firm.
  • Interpret, identify and prioritize risk.
  • Document, track and present control gaps in adherence to established policy and processes.
  • Identify process and technology enhancements to drive efficiencies.
  • Provide direct support to Vendor Management team through data analysis, identifying trends and creating reporting for internal and external use.
  • Coordinate and provide support to business units for internal/external audits, including resolution of issues.
  • Assist in development and improvement of operational policies, procedures, and guidelines that support key Vendor Management functions and include appropriate internal controls.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills and ability to work cooperatively with all levels of management.
  • Prior work experience that includes familiarity with vendor or supplier risk, operational risk, policy development, or third party vendor management a plus.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Ability to interact positively and communicate with all levels of staff and management; ability to clearly communicate and resolve business and personnel issues; able to handle situations in a diplomatic manner; able to resolve sensitive problems while maintaining trust and diplomacy.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or a Business related discipline
  • Minimum Required: 3-5 years' experience in department specific Risk Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and applicable software
