FLUIDCARE Procurement and Inventory Specialist (1418)

Position Summary:

The position provides process, analytical, and transactional support to North American Logistic and Inventory Management. They will provide key interface with the North American network of warehouses and customer service levels. This is a lead role in coordinating warehouse locations, inventory and stocking levels.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Optimization performance of MRP/MPS settings, using root cause analysis and training users on process.
  • Performs data reporting/analysis in support of inventory, sales, operations planning (S&OP) leadership, forecast exceptions.
  • Recommends appropriate warehouse and plant stocking levels on finished goods.
  • Assessing inventory levels with use of pivot tables and other analytical tools.
  • Recommend and adjust DRP stock levels at all sites based on current sales activity, OP forecasts using analytical tools.
  • Assess slow moving/obsolete inv. (SMOs), recommending optimal movements.
  • Incorporate all North American warehouses into one system, including US, Canada, Mexico including weekly reporting on key matrix.
  • In support of S&OP leader, assess velocity of key products thru the warehouses, recommending system wide stocking levels and locations.
  • Serve as primary contact for Third Party warehouses.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders for shipments to Third Party warehouses, including order requirements, C of As, MSDS sheets, etc.
  • Enter orders to replenish Third Party warehouses, arranges freight carriers and completes necessary paperwork for shipments to warehouses.
  • Provides export documentation for warehouse transfer shipments into Mexico.
  • Manage Stocking Agreements/Requests and review activities and follows ups with new recommendations.
  • Communicate to plants and sales of changes.
  • Communicates to Sales on regular basis with an open sales order report and provide updates on the stock levels at Third Party warehouses.
Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
  •  Bachelors Degree preferred.
  •  Minimum of 2 years related experience in inventory management or procurement/logistics.
  •  JD Edwards (JDE) or other ERP system experience or similar.
  •  Strong analytical skills especially data manipulation.
  •  Inventory management background (desired), or procurement /logistics exp (helpful).
  •  Process Based Management.
