The Account Manager, Club is responsible for leading and directing profitable growth for the Club accounts, BJ's & Costco, by fully leveraging all capabilities, assets, and functions within the organization. Proactively pursue all business opportunities by building and maintaining strong retailer relationships.


  • Build / Strengthen business driving relationships with customers.
  • Manage the operational day to day tasks required to successfully run the accounts.
  • Development and management of Joint Business Plans which includes monthly updates to key account personnel and BDF management.
  • Management of promotional evaluation that leads to recommendations to enhance the ongoing business plan.
  • Tracking the customer, category and competitive performance (4P's) in the club channel.  
  • Utilize fact-based selling to create quality presentations for account meetings, monthly business updates and business line reviews.
  • Cross-functional, systematic review of account plans and performance.        Tailoring of company assets to meet/exceed account requirements and growth targets. Monitor account/customer performance issues and highlight issues as they occur.
  • Delivery of customer insights-based recommendations that drive; customer acceptance of BDF new items, increase in distribution of existing BDF items, agreement to carry BDF recommended category assortment and achievement of volume/profit/share goals.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and update of internal systems including forecasting and trade fund management.
  • Work with customer and BDF supply chain on order tracking and inventory reports.
  • Work with supply chain in building item level forecasting.
  • This includes the development of customer specific customized POS reports, category management reports, trend analyses, promo review, ship to consumption and shopper insights.
  • Develop business plans and strategies to penetrate new business opportunities. 
  • Manage broker partners to best assist in delivering growth objectives.


  • 5+ years in CPG sales/account management experience preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of CPG industry and account.  
  • Experienced with IRI & Nielsen required
  • Excellent computer literacy skills, including Excel and Powerpoint. 
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and forecast management.        
  • Excellent analytical skills. 
  • Communication skills, with ability to present and sell-in ideas.  
  • BS Degree in Business or related field.        MBA preferred.
  • Travel required (up to 30%) to customers, customer events, store visits, industry events, headquarters, etc.
