Position Highlights
These positions assist students and perform customer service in the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) programs department. These positions report to the Office of Student Engagement Office (OSE) Director.

Some Duties May Include

  • Serve as a leader during events and activities that your team plans.
  • Meet, greet, and interact with performers when they arrive on campus.
  • Meet weekly with Student Life Team to plan and evaluate events; attend all Student Life staff meetings.
  • Attend all Student Life events that don't conflict with class schedules.
  • Attend and participate in retreats and training sessions.
  • Will volunteer to make activities and program announcements at Senate Meetings.
  • Answer phones and provide customer service in the Office of Student Life and Web Cafe.
  • Serve on a TCC committee at the request of the ASTCC President.
  • Monitor and evaluate trends in social media tools and applications. Implement new trends to ensure social networking presence is current.
  • Will assist with additional media projects as assigned.
  • Serve as a committee member on special events.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Tacoma Community College Student enrolled in 12 credits or more.
  • GPA of 2.5 or higher. 

Conditions Of Employment

  • Successfully pass a criminal history background check prior to employment.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Terms of Employment

These are part time hourly positions scheduled to work varied hours up to 16 hours per week. The pay rate is $13.50 per hour. Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet the needs of the department.
