Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator's role is to assist the human resources department in developing and managing a business operation that increases sales, profitability, market share, and customer and employee satisfaction.


  • Maintains electronic confidential personnel and employee benefits files, including new hire records. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

  • Manages the Tuition Reimbursement Program, including course request forms, repayment agreements, check requests, and tracking log.

  • Compiles data and reports on the annual EEO reporting for the company.

  • Coordinates with other departments the responses to requests for access to personnel files and protected health information.

  • Manages the Scholarship Program, including drafting announcements, receiving and redacting applications, facilitating the judging process, and facilitating the check requests for scholarship awards.

  • Remits state specific termination notices to employees.

  • Responds to Unemployment Claims, and coordinates with field on representation for hearings.

  • Oversees the collection of repayment agreements, including relocation repayments, MIT Incentive repayments, tuition reimbursement repayments, etc.

  • Completes Occupational Employment Surveys and Multiple Worksite Reporting.

  • Manages the company's anniversary and recognition awards

  • Manages Labor Law postings.

  • Answers and directs departmental phone calls.

  • Assists with preparation of human resource reports such as new hire, turnover, and employee status reports.

  • Provides administrative support to the HR department.

  • Assists the HR managers with projects.

  • Supervises the maintenance of office equipment, including copier, fax machine, etc.

  • Proofreads and types documents and correspondences produced by department such as employment verification letters.

  • Sorts, distributes and collects U.S. Mail, USPS and FedEx mail.

  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.

  • Orders necessary office materials.

  • Other non-essential job duties may be assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (PHR or SHRM CP preferred).

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in an office setting.

  • Proficient computer skills, especially MS Office.

  • Prior experience supporting an organization with 4,000+ employees preferred.

  • Ability to perform business math (basic algebra, computer rate, ratio, etc.).

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, or technical procedures.

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
