Adjunct Faculty – Clinical Field Site Recruiter

The School of Physician Assistant Studies seeks adjunct to deliver high quality education and evaluation for the Physician Assistant Studies Manchester/Worcester Program. The selected candidate will have responsibilities to work collaboratively with the Director of Clinical Education and clinical team to implement a clinical site and preceptor recruitment plans. This position focuses on building relationships and networking with potential clinical affiliates throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Rank will be commensurate with education and experience.

The program’s mission is to educate and inspire the future generation of Physician Assistants to become compassionate clinicians who demonstrate professionalism, practice collaborative, evidence-based medicine, and advocate for patients and their communities. The MPAS Accelerated program is a year-round program that builds on the undergraduate degree, integrating didactic classroom studies with real-world experiences in institutions throughout the North East and Mid-Atlantic region in a 24 month time-frame. Supervised clinical rotations occur in a wide variety of settings, gaining experience in internal medicine and specialties such as surgery, women's health, psychiatry, pediatrics, and emergency medicine.

  • Implements a recruitment plan to expand the number of supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPEs) available to the programs physician assistant students
  • Networks, develops and maintains relationships with potential clinical affiliates
  • Collaborates with PAS faculty and staff to maintain preceptor records to include updating preceptor and site contact information, licensure, certification, availability, placement, and affiliation agreements
  • Participates in clinical orientation activities and clinical team meetings on a quarterly basis

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a Health Science Profession or Marketing / Business field
  • Eloquent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Prior experience as a clinician in the healthcare setting
  • Experience as a clinical preceptor
  • Knowledge of medical profession education requirements, specifically physician assistant education and the ARC-PA Standards of Accreditation
  • Candidates must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and personal mode of transportation

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be physically present to meet with potential clinical affiliates in person
  • Ability to be present on the Worcester campus to collaborate with the PAS faculty
