The goal of the Translational Research Model Services (TRMS) core is to provide access to immune deficient mice and specialized technical services for preclinical studies by investigators. The TRMS core maintains production colonies of immune compromised mice, and conducts a full range of xenografting, monitoring, imaging and tissue sampling services.


Responsibilities

Main responsibilities will include mouse husbandry and colony maintenance, and performing various technical services, such as injections, blood draws, and tissue harvests. The applicant will also assist in maintaining the Core database, billing and other administrative duties.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in a scientific field
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience handling mice
  • 2 years previous experience working in a laboratory
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Well organized, maintain good records, and display excellent communication skills
