Army Unit Supply Specialist

 

The unit supply specialist is primarily responsible for supervising or performing tasks involving the general upkeep and maintenance of all Army supplies and equipment. As a supply specialist you have the ability to promote to supervisory and manager-level positions where you will be in charge of the training and development of supply generalists.

Core Responsibilities.

 

This job has a wide variety of duties, which include

  • Receiving, inspecting, loading, segregating, and delivering installation supplies and equipment.
  • Operating computer software primarily Microsoft Excel
  • Preparing and filing unit supply documentation.
  • Maintain the accuracy of all transactions within organizational and installation property books and supporting transaction files
  • Maintaining automated supply system for accounting of organizational and installation supplies and equipment.
  • Securing and controlling weapons and ammunition in security areas
  • Scheduling and performing preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons

Basic Qualifications:

  • Age - 17 to 34 years old
  • Education - Current Senior in High School(HS), HS Diploma, GED or higher
  • Citizenship - U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident
  • Submit to background and medical screening

Additional Requirements: 

  • Attend Basic and advanced training (Paid)
  • Complete the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
  • Submit to background and medical screening
