Home Instead  is seeking a highly skilled Scheduling Coordinator to lead the scheduling and staffing function for our Home Health Care company. This position is in Springfield, NJ.  This role is considered a KEY PLAYER and is an important role to ensure success!

Seeking candidates with 1 plus years prior staff scheduling experience with a Home Health Care agency in a setting of 50 or more employees.

This position will lead the CHHA and Companion Caregiver staff scheduling function utilizing an integrated, state-of-the-art scheduling system (Clear Care). This role will ensure all shifts & schedules are effectively and adequately staffed.  

Strong Microsoft Office skills, along with a service approach towards working with staff, and co-workers. A high sense of urgency to ensure the staff schedules are developed, updated, adjusted, and communicated in a timely and effective manner.

  • Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) in our office located in Springfield, NJ


  • Scheduling experience required - 1 year min.
  • Experience with ClearCare software highly preferred
  • Healthcare scheduling experience required or relevant experience
  • Proficient in customer service skills
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking


  • Associate Degree (Preferred)

Full Job Description

  • Answer Phones in a professional manner with excellent customer service in mind
  • Prepare and maintain computerized schedules for Professional field staffs, Certified Home Health Aides, and Companions, making additions/deletions and changes as needed. Notify Supervisor/DON, staff, client/family, and referral agency (if applicable) when changes occur.
  • Provide information on new and/or fill-in cases to field staff. This includes, but is not limited to client information, schedule, and directions.
  • If services are unable to be rendered due to lack of staff must inform supervisor/manager before any action can be taken
  • Consult with Supervisor/DON to fill new requests or make changes in ongoing cases with suitable field staff, when needed.
  • Cover agency office as needed, including mandatory participation in on-call coverage, as assigned.
  • Review as needed aide logs for billing, payroll or funding purposes, as assistance is required.
  • Participate in agency staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as may be requested by the (Supervisor/Manager, Director of Nursing or Owner (This may not be limited to scheduling needs.)
