Employee is responsible for coordination of the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory Service Rep/Couriers and database upkeep for Gajema. Use incoming and outgoing dispatch calls and logs to coordinate workflow; problem solving to meet all customers transport needs. Manage Legacy’s operation and maintenance of motor vehicles. Works directly with Cerner Gajema programmers and department management to design information reports that help provide needed data for operations and quality assurance. Responsible for entering and verifying all data into database so that it meets set standards and requirements for queries and reports. Assist other laboratory department employees with gathering specific case information that leads to problem resolution. Assists with the development, implementation and training on the Gajema database system for all Legacy departments. Trains all department staff on computer database and handheld specimen tracking system. Perform other duties as assigned.



Education in computer applications and/or business-related fields preferred or work related equivalent.


One or more years’ experience in dispatching, customer service and familiarity with the department service-area road systems.

Knowledge and experience working with data and databases, with the ability to retrieve, organize and present data using computer applications or related software preferred.

Must have working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office applications.


  • Must have excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills; good communication, verbal and written English.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to prioritize the workload to meet team goals and be flexible to meet department needs.
  • Successful candidate must possess excellent telephone, PC and keyboarding skills and possess ability to make independent decisions and work as a team member within and outside of own department.
  • Knowledge of data-management software applications, query applications, report development and application development.
  • Ability to systematically trouble shoot application problems and assist in resolution.
  • Ability to maintain complete documentation of applications and application processes.
  • Strong customer-support skills.
