Formulation Lab Tech - $24 - $25/hr

Kelly Services is in need of a Formulations Lab Tech to join the team at a leading Chemical company located in Collegeville, PA.

This role is a long-term contract position for 1 year+. Pay for this role will be $24/hr - $25/hr.

This role will provide thoughtful technical support to scientists in the preparation and execution of lab experiments across a broad range of waterborne coating applications. Their work will provide technical, lab support for customer projects, which can include new product development, product quality concerns, and formulation development.

Core Responsibilities

  • Works safely as part of a multicompany team in a laboratory supporting scientists in developing customer relevant formulations and commercializing new products.
  • Formulation of paint samples and preparation of coating films for application testing.
  • Manages and then safely executes laboratory work requests, maintaining and running relevant laboratory apparatus and testing equipment and documenting data.
  • Executes provided project plans by performing both routine and non-standard tasks/procedures of higher complexity.
  • Communicates experimental results to scientist partners, and organizes and prepares excel data tables and charts for inclusion in presentations.


Required Qualifications

  • AS/BS in Science or Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
