Economist Brand Ambassador

As an [**Economist**](https://www.economist.com/) Brand Ambassador, you will market the brand and educate your peers about the unique global perspective The Economist offers its readers. You will do so by utilizing your personal network and executing targeted outreach to various groups at your university. Your primary goal for the program is to generate subscription sales of the 12 week discounted subscription - which costs $19-24 for students and $24-29 for adults (depending on the package they select).

Ambassadors are selected on a rolling basis and can start working the first week of June 2021 through December 2021 with possibility of an extension into subsequent semesters/quarters. We only have limited availability for this position, so join now even if the bulk of your efforts will come during Fall semester (we allow Ambassadors to be on standby during the Summer months - see "Responsibilities" section below.)

The Economist is the leading source of analysis on international business and world affairs. They deliver their information through a range of formats, from newspapers and magazines to conferences and electronic services. ### **RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Generate subscription sales using your unique tracking link. There is no cap on the number of sales you can generate.
- Engage your personal network, as well as host classroom and organization presentations to drive subscriptions to The Economist. _Update: In the wake of Covid-19, the program will be worked mostly via digital avenues - both communicating with individuals, as well as groups._
- Flexible working hours: there is no minimum or maximum number of subscriptions you can generate. There are no set working hours, so it works favorably with a busy college schedule.
- You are expected to maintain good effort and communication throughout the program, especially during the school semester. 4+ weeks of no check-in and you will be replaced with another applicant.
- We allow students to work on "standby" mode during the Summer. This way, you aren't responsible for weekly check-ins with the Evolvez team, yet are fully onboarded in case an opportunity to drive a sale presents itself.

**NOTE: If you know any professors or clubs that make The Economist or a similar publication mandatory, (or if you believe you can have certain clubs/professors make the Economist subscription mandatory), apply to this position ASAP and then email Evolvez letting us know! Really look into this if you aren't sure. In our 8+ semesters working with The Economist, this has led to Ambassadors generating 30+ subscription sales through one club or class.**
