HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR – Huntsville, AL OR Clearwater, FL

Position Summary:  This position will be based in either the Huntsville, AL or Clearwater, FL location and will support several Carpenter Technology manufacturing locations (Latrobe – PA, Athens – AL and Clearwater-FL)

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION: 

  • Performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative activities specific to the human resources function.  
  • Coordinates interviews and the hiring process for hourly production positions.  Including but not limited to: Collects, compiles, and analyzes moderately complex data and information. Prepares/composes correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc.
  • Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating unit served.  Manages company sponsored employee events as directed  
  • Verify and maintain employee documents and HRIS system records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintains files and records of a confidential nature.
  • Screens telephone calls and visitors; resolves routine inquiries and directs complex inquiries to the appropriate individual.
  • Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries, and coordinates related arrangements.
  • Prepares and distributes minutes of meetings.
  • Administrative liaison to others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to employees, operations, employee events and activities.
  • Maintains office supplies and supports administrative needs of the department.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Two-year Degree Preferred.  High School Diploma required.
  • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, Customer Service, Administrative or similar type of role.  Experience through an internship would also be considered. 
  • Experience with HRIS Systems (Workday preferred) and some basic knowledge of Human Resources related law and documentation preferred.
  • Must be proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  
  • The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment, with minimal supervision, and strong communication skills.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work across all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, every changing environment.
