What If Syndicate is the national hospitality group driven by David Pisor, Jim Lasky, Chef Danny Grant, and a team of world-class food lovers who serve to live and live to serve.  The business is built upon three units: The primary is a collection of dynamic, profitable restaurants; the second a restaurant incubator; and the third a private lifestyle club as well as a products program. Successful restaurants exist for many years by delivering any two of the following: Great food, great service, or a great experience. Restaurant Overview
etta is an affordable neighborhood restaurant that serves delicious wood-fired food. Centered around the wood-fired hearth, Partner and Chef Danny Grant peppers each menu with his favorite seasonal dishes that are expertly crafted alongside his culinary team.

From crave-worthy pizza and warm focaccia, to fresh, crisp seasonal salads to family-style shared pig and lobster picnics, etta has something for everyone. Just as the kitchen is the focal point of interaction within a home, etta’s open kitchen design gives guests that same intimate experience.

Each location features a wood-burning brick oven that bakes pizzas to perfection, as well as a giant wood-fired hearth for spit roasting and grilling. We pay attention to every detail – our service is superior, and we believe in generosity, making every etta experience exceptionally thoughtful. We love the neighborhoods that we serve and look to add rich diversity, creativity, culture and history.

Who You Are
We are looking for professionals that are dedicated to their craft, are thoughtful in their actions, and very passionate and knowledgeable about the hospitality industry. It is important to be a motivated self-starter, and to possess a hunger for learning and growing. You are serious about precision and are calculated in your efficiencies. Must be proficient, respect the restaurant equipment, and work in a neat and organized manner. You enjoy your work and it shows to your fellow teammates and guests alike.  
What You Will Do

  • Demonstrate an excellent service attitude and be willing to go out of your way to accommodate guests
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the menu to be able to properly describe food and beverage items to guests
  • Must be flexible and be able to adjust to the changing needs of the restaurant and its guests
  • Maintain a level of professionalism and community
  • Be considerate and willing to help out fellow teammates
  • Must be able to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure during busy hours
  • Apply critical thinking to handle difficult guest situations with the best possible solution
  • Other tasks as assigned
What You Need to Bring to the Table  

  • Must hold a Food Handlers certificate from an ANSI-accredited program and an Alcohol Serving certificate from an ABC-accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years serving experience in an upscale, high volume restaurant
  • A professional, friendly personality with excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service
  • Flexible hours are required (ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Exudes confidence and takes pride in their personal style and appearance
  • Must possess a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail
This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
