Service Technician

Job Description

The Service Technician is responsible for in-house repairs on equipment, providing troubleshooting customer support via phone and email, and field service traveling. The position reports to the Service Coordinator and will be assigned special projects and additional tasks, as needed.

The Service Technician is a full-time position. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance are offered on the 31st day of employment. 401K eligibility begins after the 60th day of employment. Pay is bi-weekly. Generous PTO policy, starting on your 90th day of employment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits
  • Install new products, and test them to ensure they are working correctly
  • Educate the customer on how to use and maintain their equipment
  • Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customer
  • Tie workflow to schedule
  • Manage all on-site repairs and maintenance
  • Diagnose errors or problems and determine proper solutions
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Cooperate with other departments and share information across the organization
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by WEISS NA
  • Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Experience: 2 – 3 years in service technician or similar role
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Well organized with an aptitude for details
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to multi-task and produce quality results under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be self-started and able to work independently with little supervision
  • Read drawings and schematics.
  • Software and electrical experiences a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP is a plus, but not required.
  • Travel up to 20%
