Process Consultant Sr - Surgery - Baptist Medical Center


Process Consultant Sr - lead process improvement, data gathering, facilitating for our Surgerical Services area. Reports to Director Nursing over Surgical Services, Baptist Medical Center, Baptist at Portland Avenue. Ideal candidate will have experience with lean methodology and nursing process flow improvement.

* Associate degree with 5 years experience in lean/six sigma/or quality management or a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Business Management, Nurse Management or other related field.

* 2 years work experience in industrial engineering, nursing, or business operations preferred.

* Previous work experience with health care preferred.

* Previous work experience in facilitating process improvement and exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or Quality engineering preferred.

* Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).

* This job requires the incumbents to operate a INTEGRIS owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS owned) and therefore must have a current State Drivers License from the state of residence as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.

Process Consultant Sr

Position Summary:

The Process Consultant provides organizational process consulting, including planning, managing, analyzing, and measuring performance excellence, to INTEGRIS facilities and business units for the purpose of facilitating clinical and operational process improvement activities that incorporate Lean and other organizational process/performance improvement methodology/tools.

Essential Functions:

The Process Consultant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Facilitates, coaches, and completes clinical and operational process events using lean methodology and quality tools throughout the organization

* Coordinates performance excellence events assigned

* Facilitates lean tools, including value stream maps, A3, 5S, PDCA

* Identifies critical areas for improvement and establishes a course of action

* Establishes metrics for the improvement event, follow up action steps, and reporting routines

* Delivers presentations to various audiences regarding performance events and results

* Contributes to the Lean Review course instruction and coaching and to the annual Lean improvement plan.

* Collaborates with internal resources and departments to ensure continuous improvement within the organization.

* Facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements as assigned.

* Department specific focus based on assignment.

Accountability:

The Process Consultant reports to Manager or Director as assigned.
