PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES

 

Intelligent Enterprise Solutions (IES) is responsible for delivering business applications and client technology services covering hardware, client software and unified communications solutions.

 

The Intelligent Enterprise Business Solutions area enables new business models, driving SAP’s cloud and digitalization journey to deliver continuous customer and business value by implementing integrated and scalable business technology products, striving for the best user experience and influencing SAP's product development.

 

The IES CIA Mergers and Acquisition Center of Excellence (IES CIA M&A CoE) is part of IE Business Solutions area and is driving SAP internal strategic programs and IT post-merger integration of SAP acquisitions. IES CIA M&A CoE team is responsible for all topics regarding Mergers & Acquisitions from due diligence to integration and stabilization across all post-merger integration programs.

 

The team powers SAP’s acquisition-based growth by delivering successful process and system integrations, putting business value and end-user experience in the center of all activities. We deliver integration excellence, being the trusted IT M&A experts for the acquisitions and SAP.

 

We are hiring an IT Application Associate Consultant as part of the IES CIA Mergers and Acquisition Center of Excellence team.

 

EXPECTATIONS & TASKS

 

The IT Application Associate Consultant is responsible for Revenue Accounting and Reporting processes within the IES CIA Mergers and Acquisition Center of Excellence team. The IT Application Associate Consultant supports to streamline end-to-end “Deal to Revenue Accounting” processes for SAP’s acquired companies by leading the implementation and support of the SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting & Reporting) solution. The goal is to automate the acquired company’s revenue recognition and accounting processes, and help comply with new statutory IFRS revenue standard (IFRS15) for revenue recognition

- System Analysis: Support the fit-gap analysis of acquired company’s Revenue Reporting processes along with business process owners and solution architects to identify new technical requirements for smooth post-merger integration with SAP RAR tool. Support the documentation of the technical specifications in form of user stories to the product team for development
- Solution design: Collaborate with cross-functional IT product owners to define end-to-end solution for the new business requirements, work with developers to clarify and refine the requirements, execution of initial testing of the solutions
- Configuration and Testing: track the progress of customizations and enhancements in SAP RAR tool to deliver new business requirements. Support the execution of functional testing, initial User Acceptance testing, regression testing, and system integration testing to ensure the end-to-end process and data integration
- Data Migration: Support the design of data migration strategy including data extract to transform logic, conduct data mapping (field mapping and value mapping), data cleansing sessions with acquired company’s business process owners and data architects and finally to migrate acquired company’s revenue data to SAP systems and ensure 100% data accuracy.

 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Requires Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Expertise in MS Office tools like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc. is required
- Good interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to quickly respond to requests and keep content and reporting updated
- Pronounced quality awareness, attention to detail, and ability to work independently

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Experience in Business Process Management and Documentation is a plus
- Knowledge of SAP internal Finance processes, systems or SAP ERP solutions is a plus

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

 

- Up to 3 years of previous work experience in a corporate setting
- Experience in analyze complex business processes and solutions
- Previous work experience in SAP ERP or SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting & Reporting) is advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience in Agile project delivery (Scrum or Kanban), Agile Project Management Methodologies
