Position Summary:

Working in a diverse team setting to assist in assembling a variety of custom nets and netting systems that meet customer specifications.


Essential Duties:

  • Various net fabrication tasks including cutting, lacing, web stretching, knot tying, etc. using a variety of materials such as pre-woven netting, rope, twine, floats and hardware
  • Utilizing a variety of hand tools, net needles and fids, scissors, knives and other cutting tools
  • Fabricates and assembles product per directions, drawings and customer specifications
  • Follows quality control procedures to ensure fabricated product meets required standards
  • Locates and pulls required materials from inventory, maintains accurate records of materials used
  • Assists with organizing materials and tools and preparing tools and materials for upcoming projects
  • Bundling and packaging/re-packaging nets, rope or other materials for storage or shipping
  • Loading and unloading materials as products are shipped out or received
  • Maintains clean work area and equipment; follows safety procedures concerning use of equipment and materials to maintain safe working conditions
  • Assists with daily and weekly cleaning protocol
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
. Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Average or better eye/hand coordination
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Working knowledge of tools used in cutting and measuring
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operation, maintenance and procedures manuals
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time


Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

  • Prior fabrication experience a plus
  • High School diploma or GED preferred

While performing this job the individual is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes/airborne particles; and occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions; extremes of cold/heat, humid conditions or work in high precarious places. The work environment exposes individual to loud noises from moving equipment and machines.
