Bar & Beverage Manager

Cocktail Caravan is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Bar & Beverage Manager. This manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a multi-tiered cocktail program including event menus, bottled cocktail mixer program, and all kitchen prep and production.

Our events range from small, intimate dinner parties to large corporate events, festivals, and weddings which means managing a multitude of ever-changing menus, orders, and production. A successful Bar & Beverage Manager will contribute to a positive experience for clients and co-workers by being prepared, organized, enthusiastic and meeting deadlines. Manager will work closely with other team members but largely self-manage tasks and priorities. Candidate will play a key role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our product and must have a strong attention to detail both in communication and execution. This role has the potential to expand and evolve as the business grows. 

About You
You’re a cocktail connoisseur and have vast knowledge of wine and beer. You have experience in various arenas of the food service realm including front and back of house and management. You’re motivated, highly organized, and have a precise palate for creating fresh, well-balanced cocktails, and work well with little to no direction. You’re a go-getter and prefer finishing tasks early. The ideal candidate lives close to our Boulder headquarters or is willing to drive the extra distance to and from our kitchen.

 

General Responsibilities

·     Collect and execute weekly kitchen orders across all platforms

·     Oversee most aspects of our bottled mixer program, including menu design, production, and processing customer orders

·     Execute and manage all kitchen prep and production

·     Train and manage a small kitchen staff

·     Maintain and enforce health department standards

·     Update and outline best practices and standard operating procedures

·     Maintain and meet specific budgets per event/order as well as for the kitchen as a whole

·     Manage and update recipe database as needed

·     All kitchen ordering and inventory

·     Occasional consulting on event menu design

·     Facilitate occasional client tastings

·     Have an on-site presence at occasional cocktail class events

·     Stay up-to-date on current cocktail trends

·    Option to pickup bar shifts

Skills

·     Vast knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine

·     Excellent communication skills

·     Extremely organized with serious attention to detail

·     Ability to manage time efficiently and work with little to no direction

·     Leadership skills that inspire and motivate staff to be at their best

·     Desire to learn and create


Requirements

·     Bachelors degree

·     Relevant food and bev experience

·     Current ServSafe certification

Cocktail Caravan is a boutique beverage catering and mobile bartending operation with several one-of-a-kind traveling mobile bars that (primarily) serves the metro Denver area. We create lasting memories based around unique bar programs and experiences at private events. Our goal is to go above and beyond for the client and their guests at each event, bringing enthusiasm and excitement, beautiful bar setups, and fresh cocktails. Details are the foundation for everything we do! We work hard and value working with others who are responsible go-getters that self-manage their tasks and time.

Compensation

This is a part time hourly position Tuesday through Saturday with occasional responsibilities falling outside of these days. 25-30 hours per week to start with full time option to follow. $18-20/hour DOE.
