Mission:  The Talent Acquisition Manager will manage the full lifecycle recruiting process by identifying, developing and executing effective sourcing strategies to build teams across a wide variety of departments.  This position will guide the candidate journey in partnership with the Hiring Manager to ensure that we deliver a best-in-class experience to potential candidates.  The talent acquisition manager will keep our team abreast of industry trends as well as the competitive landscape for key areas of hire.  This position will also lead Company onboarding activities.

The candidate must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, luxury wine environment where continuous improvement is always expected.  This position includes executive interaction and some confidential responsibilities. The position is based at the Domaine Serene winery in the hills above Dundee and reports to the CFO/COO of Evenstad Estates.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute the full cycle recruiting process ranging from identifying talent, conducting effective and insightful screening and interviews, skills assessments, making candidate recommendations to hiring managers, coordinating the interview process, checking references, ensuring a positive candidate experience, and building a pipeline for future talent needs. 
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to gain a strong understanding of the business and respective talent requirements and candidate profiles.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria, including interview questions and assessments.
  • Responsible for all job postings, with assistance from the Payroll & Benefits Administrator.
  • Partner with Marketing & PR to engage social media networks (LinkedIn, FB, job boards) to market positions.
  • Utilize sourcing resources and traditional staffing strategies such as employee referrals, career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, visiting other tasting rooms, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Foster long-term relationships with universities and other hospitality institutions.  Manage and develop “intern” partnerships to recruit top talent for DTC.
  • Point of contact for vendor who handles J-1 Visa process for DTC & production employees.
  • Identify and implement an applicant tracking system (ATS) for purposes of overseeing current candidate activity.
  • Provide market and industry wage rates for consistent and fair terms for regular full-time candidates.
  • Collaborate with the Hiring Manager during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Keep up-to-date and informed regarding recruiting best practices, trends, social media tools, industry standards, and competition, and share with appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Plan and conduct New Hire Orientation and onboarding activities (including office/technology setup) to foster a positive attitude toward Domaine Serenes, goals.  Collaborate with the Hiring Manager to ensure that all employees receive 30-60-90-day goals and annual goals.
  • Conducts regular follow up with Directors and Hiring Managers on effectiveness of recruiting strategies and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to operate with ambiguity. 
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion, good judgment, tactfulness and diplomacy. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.  SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Wine experience is not required, but some knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry is a plus.
