Overview

The Inside Sales-Customer Service Representative will directly report to the existing Inside Sales Manager, efficiently process orders, handle shipments, deal with customers, reps, and direct salesmen of the company. Will also generate and maintain customer order files in a manner that fulfills all internal requirements and customer needs. Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and freight forwarders to coordinate orders and shipments. Organize existing procedures and implement new ones.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate files and records of all orders and shipments.
  • Process incoming purchase orders and prepare documentation as required.
  • Work with accounting personnel to make sure all orders are invoiced correctly
  • Manage existing import program with freight forwarders and provide competitive shipping solutions for orders.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement cost saving program for inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Direct communication with customers to handle orders in a prompt, courteous, professional manner. Maintain ongoing communication with customers on order status and shipment to completion.
  • Produce and maintain sales and inventory reports.
  • Additional duties as required, including cross training inside McWane Global/International

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet research
  • Water/wastewater industry (pipe, valves, and fittings) product knowledge and experience preferred
