Electronic Health Records Administrator

Maryhaven is seeking an Electronic Health Records Administrator to serve as partner to the internal Billing and Technology staff in the overall administration of the electronic health record (EHR), specifically focused on the clinical functions, processes, and interface of the system. Actively engages with staff at all levels of the agency to implement and support EHR standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization plans for clinical applications and workflows. Responsible for developing, implementing, supporting, and planning the data analytics and reporting needs related to the EHR. Provides training to new and existing staff on use of the system.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of: Bachelor degree in business, behavioral health, or a related field, with two (2) years’ experience in business analysis, healthcare quality management, performance improvement, data outcomes measurement, or equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Knowledge of and experience with electronic health record and health information management applications.

SKILLS, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES

  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high level of confidentiality; must sign confidentiality agreement.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Advanced technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BI strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated maturity and tolerance in interpersonal relationships and the ability to effectively communicate across multiple layers of the organization, providing insightful analysis to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Understanding of workflows, policies, procedures, patient care, clinical business objectives, and regulatory requirements affecting this professional position and the area in which it operates.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, including a proven ability to balance multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Comfortable managing long-range projects in conjunction with demanding day-to-day activities.
  • Experience in direct provision or management of behavioral healthcare or clinical programming preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL, DAX, and other data analysis tools/languages preferred.
