Sushi Chef/Sous Chef

We are looking for a Sushi Chef or Assistant Chef for a catering business. Sushi Chef responsibilities include handling a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients, managing food stock, and working with an attention to detail to fulfill all orders within quality standards. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with Japanese cuisine and be available to work during the early morning. Some shifts may even start as early as 5am. You MUST be able to work in the Dallas area, please do not apply if you are unable to commute. Located inside of Medical City Dallas Building C. (Boss is fluent in Korean if needed)

• Prepare all types of sushi, including nigiri and sashimi
• Prepare to-go sushi roll boxes with ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce and apply the correct label
• Manage food prep activities, such as boiling rice, slicing vegetables, etc.
• Monitor food stock
• Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift

• Work experience as a Sushi Chef (1+ year preferred)
• Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
• Ability to work both fast and accurately
• Availability to work in the early morning on scheduled weekdays
• Flexibility to take on various shifts

Salary: $10.00 to $20.00/hour, depending on experience (D.O.E.)
