Front of House Managers

Trudy’s Restaurants are now hiring Front of House Assistant Managers to join our team at Trudy's Texas Star!

You will be responsible for managing the entire restaurant operations including financial performance, product production, inventory, personnel, training, sales, and marketing for the restaurant. Responsibilities also include motivating and developing restaurant personnel to ensure the restaurant is operating within the guidelines of the company and corporate standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Through effective planning and supervision (assignment of job positions, scheduling and managing work hours), ensure the efficient operation of the restaurant in accordance with company policy and respective federal and state labor laws.
  • Supervise subordinate staff to assure that guests are treated promptly and courteously; products are of specified quality, quantity and prepared in accordance with company standards; equipment is maintained properly; sanitation standards are met, and the restaurant is maintained in a neat and organized manner.
  • Utilize all company training tools to provide hourly and/or salary employees with paid on-the-job training in all aspects of restaurant operation.
  • Implement and execute appropriate restaurant level financial controls (petty cash, P&L statements, budget plans, daily deposits, payroll, NOI reports, EOD reports, etc.) to assure proper accountability of company assets and funds.
  • In collaboration with your Area Supervisor, organize, develop, and implement local restaurant marketing programs designed to stimulate sales and profit growth and develop brand awareness.
  • Implement appropriate restaurant level controls to ensure that supplies are ordered as needed, that materials received are of good quality and in the proper quantity and are properly accounted for.
  • Receive and resolve guest complaints in a timely and tactful manner to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Interview and/or make recommendations for the hiring of hourly employees in accordance with company policies and respective federal and state laws.
  • Prepare projections of future sales and expenses, communicate targets to the restaurant team and manage performance to help ensure the achievement of sales and operating profit objectives.
  • Participate in the development and preparation of annual operating plan for the restaurant.
  • Evaluate the performance of hourly and/or salary employees and provide constructive feedback to help ensure continuous personal and professional growth and development of your team.
  • Exercise sound managerial judgment and decision-making pertaining to all employee relations and personnel actions (i.e., timely performance evaluations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, employee coaching, etc.) to develop and maintain an environment of cooperation, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Complete, approve, submit, and maintain files on all internal records and reports as required by law and company policy.
  • Take an accurate inventory of food and beverage products once a week to provide cost and ensure they are within the company goals and standards.
  • Assume responsibility of company funds and ensure responsible team members throughout their shifts, count, confirm and sign for Petty Cash. Track and reconcile any daily cash overages or shortages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT Experience REQUIRED; full-service preferred
  • KNOWLEDGE of Restaurant Industry REQUIRED
  • High School Diploma or GED; College Degree a plus
  • Willing to Submit and Able to Pass Drug Screening and Background Check
  • 5-day, 10 hour/day work week
  • Ability to Lead and Manage 35 - 45 Hourly Team Members
  • Ability to Lift at least 35 pounds
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant
  • Perform multiple tasks.

  • Maintain productivity, composure, and a pleasant attitude under pressure.
