Personal Lines Account Manager


A Personal Lines Account Manager assists in the support and production on personal lines insurance accounts and the retention of existing insurance accounts. In addition to providing exceptional customer service, additional responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Securing and submitting required renewal underwriting information
  • Process policies, modifications to existing policies, and claims form
  • Update existing policies and records to reflect requested changes by the Client and/or Carrier
  • Soliciting increases in coverage, rounding existing accounts, remarketing and/or rewriting accounts

. Requirements:
  • Preferred five years of practical experience in similar position at an independent insurance agency with underwriting and rating background; must have previous personal Property & Casualty experience
  • Requires an ability to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Must embrace a client-focused, service driven, team mentality
  • Previous working knowledge of Applied Epic or similar insurance account management software is preferred

Personal Lines Account Manager - Education / Licensing

  • High School diploma required; Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree is preferred; additional insurance designations (CIC, CISR, etc.) are preferred
  • Must have an active South Carolina Property & Casualty license
