About the role:

  • The Business Process Analyst is a critical member of the Interventional Cardiology Program Management Office (PMO) to assist in managing the systems and information that ensures our projects meet business objectives
  • The Business Process Analyst owns the systems and processes for contracting PDPs and is responsible for reporting key financial, project performance, and resource metrics across the IC project portfolio

  • The Business Process Analyst works with the Portfolio Manager and Finance on the quarterly and annual project budget forecasts across the portfolio

  • This person will interact with Finance and Program Management across the division, and will promote communication and help influence consistent practices across  three Interventional Cardiology franchises

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Portfolio Manager to ensure tracking of project performance against business/contract expectations

  • Review compliance of project contracts on cost and schedule; communicate early signals on emerging issues with PMO director to address updates to PIB

  • Partner closely with Finance on portfolio processes – Strat, AOP, forecasting

  • Act as liaison between product development project teams and the PMO to assist in budget and resource planning throughout the year

  • Build upon and improve existing PMO metrics; conduct analysis of trends, as well as any ad hoc support for internal customers (which may include Sr. Management). Create data-driven recommendations for improvement opportunities across the division.

  • Maintain key project information within the PMO systems such as Nexus and PMO Portal.  Report performance to project contracts through redbook reports. Train others on the systems.

  • Subject matter expert for Kronos and PPMS.  Train project managers to independently manage their projects within the system.

  • Responsible for headcount reporting and analysis for IC New Product Development.

  • Monthly/Quarterly reporting of results and metrics, and continued refinement and improvement of metrics for tracking of project/portfolio performance

  • Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action

 

What we’re looking for:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Business

  • 5+ years professional work experience, preferably in a business reporting role

  • 3 yesars demonstrated data analysis/reporting, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience using budgeting and resource allocation systems and databases

  • Experience with data analytics

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • Proficient in standard office software: Excel and Word

  • Possess a strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement and drive to exceed expectations

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the Medical Device or other project focused environment

  • PowerPoint experience

  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio, resource, and budget management

  • Database experience and the ability to modify existing database code is a strong plus
