Sous Chef

Saap Fusion Kitchen is a new restaurant in Vancouver. We are a fusion-based restaurant combining Asian and Latin flavors and ingredients. Our inclusive menu offers many gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options.  Our unique and delicious cuisine is enhanced by a stellar bar program, built around handcrafted cocktails.  The restaurant space is gorgeous and airy.  We offer indoor dining, a private dining room that can be rented out or utilized for special events and dinners, and a great patio featuring a huge gas firepit.

Executive Chef Kyle Griffith has been in the industry for over two decades, and has worked under multiple James Beard Award winners.  Saap is seeking an experienced Sous Chef with aspirations to become a head chef someday.  Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to meet Saap service standards
  • Monitoring food & labor cost alongside the Executive Chef
  • Maintaining a positive attitude under pressure and supporting a culture of excellence and professionalism in the kitchen
  • Overseeing daily prep and ensuring quality and consistency
  • Ordering food and supplies
  • Communicating with front of house employees and management regarding any changes to menu or item availability
