ZAP CREW LEADER

The CREW LEADER is responsible for directing 3-5 crew members in daily lawn care operations including quality control, training, punctuality and safety. Candidates must also have strong organization skills, ability to complete appropriate paperwork, and possess good leadership, computer and communication skills. The employee will provide quality lawn care service that meets or exceeds our customers' and management's expectations. The employee will show attention to detail and effectively communicate with subordinates, peers and the supervisor. Employee will possess a friendly, customer service minded attitude and will conduct themselves in a professional manor. Crew Leader reports directly to Team Leader.

§ Perform daily preparation of trucks, equipment, and inventory.

§ Performs safety checks on the vehicle before driving to assigned work site.

§ Check oil in the vehicle; inspect each tire for adequate inflation.

§ Log any damage found on the vehicle at the start/end of each work day

§ Complete any necessary logs/report forms

§ Ensure that assigned equipment is adequately fueled for the day and the gas can is full of correctly mixed fuel for the specific lawn care equipment

§ Oversee proper safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment usage and practices of the crew.

§ Provide on the job training to all crew members in safety, equipment, technique, etc.

§ Schedule lunches and breaks for their team

§ Ability to coach members of the crew as needed

§ Immediately report incidents/accidents or unsafe work conditions to their assigned Team Leader

§ Report any unauthorized passengers in vehicles/use of equipment or vehicles to Team Leader

§ Inventory and alert Team Leader of any used supplies or First Aid supplies that need to be replenished.

§ Be aware of all rules, regulations and policies and follow accordingly

§ Cut lawns using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.

§ Perform all tasks of operations including but not limited to mowing, line trimming, blowing, leaf and debris removal, weeding, edging, and raking.

§ Inspect work to ensure that each lawn is properly cut, clippings bagged and driveway and sidewalk is edged and free of debris

§ Complete pre/post walk around form and have Team Leader sign off on it.

§ Proactively address questions or concerns with the clients. Communicate customer's questions immediately with the assigned Team Leader. Update customer with the status of the work progress.

Skills and Qualifications:

§ Valid driver's license. If less than two years driving experience, must have completed driver's education class.

§ Ability to lift 50+ lbs. consistently throughout the day.

§ High attention to detail…the customer doesn't see what we do; they see what we don't do that they expected to have done.

§ High ability to deal with uncertainty in a high stress environment while keeping your composure on and off the job.

§ Available to work a varied schedule (including Saturdays) in sometimes adverse weather conditions.

§ Stoop, stand and bend for 10 hours or more a day.

§ Strong Knowledge of grass and lawn care preferred.

§ Ability to read & write English, including maps & diagrams.

§ Drug free work environment.
