Benefits Sales

Do you have sales experience and are eager for a new opportunity with unlimited earning potential? If so, come join Rice Insurance as a Benefits Producer! This position is responsible for generating new business and relationships through direct solicitation and referral resources. As a Benefits Producer, you will provide insurance health and life solutions to clients, both individuals and businesses. You will act as a liaison between the client, the agency and the insurance carrier by gathering information from prospective clients, completing applications, presenting solutions, collecting new business premiums and fulfilling other required professional advisory functions in the insurance sales process. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prospect, pursue and close sales.

Major Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business from all sources available, including but not limited to personal contacts and centers of influence
  • Sell a variety of products from each partner insurance carrier
  • Keep abreast of trends and techniques; use agency & industry selling aids to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace
  • Develop a marketing plan; create list of prospects from all sources available, detail the sources of new prospects; business development efforts; report to Sales Manager as requested outlining sales activities and sales results
  • Determine insurance needs using effective questioning techniques
  • Educate clients concerning coverages, gaps and risks, agency payment expectations; service staff and service expectations; claims and cancellation procedures
  • Track, analyze, and execute sales plan to achieve sales objectives
