Overview

The Fleet & Facilities Manager will be responsible for all aspects of preventative and scheduling of maintenance for fleet and facilities. Individual will also complete all aspects of recruiting and training of new employees.

This individual must be dedicated to Safety, Service & Sanitation while enhancing business management and building relationships with our customers, industries and communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically plan and manage fleet & facilities
  • Complete or authorize accredited vendors maintenance items
  • Establish formal Vendor management plan
  • Logistics personnel recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, then assign mentor.
  • Manage fleet & driver qualification files
  • Lead transportation safety training
  • Listen, Research & Resolve any arising opportunities
  • Supervise, train, and coach VL or temporary direct report associates
  • Develop & maintain metrics then analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements (costs per mile, MPG, idle times, unplanned repairs, asset utilization)
  • Comply with all processes, laws, rules, regulations.
  • Adhere and improve upon sanitation accreditations and standards
  • Create or update documented processes
  • Specifying and purchasing of fleet, equipment, tools, etc…
  • Capital & Operating budget development & management
  • Complete light fleet and facility maintenance.
  • Lead employees and management on improved technology utilization and training

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of fleet & facilities management experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Preferred AS or BS in Diesel Technology or Business
  • Must possess driver's license and insurable, added benefit would be a CDL A driver's license
