About This Role:

This Quality Technician I is in direct support of medical device manufacturing in the Core Tech Polymers (CTP) area on 2nd shift. This support role requires cross-functional collaboration with production, manufacturing, and quality team members. This role requires driving continuous improvement in product quality and compliance, owning and reporting nonconformances, and providing day-to-day quality support for manufacturing.  The position requires creative thinking and investigation skills to resolve problems that arise on a production line.

 

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Perform project and product testing
  • Assist engineers in failure analysis
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with quality issues and quality metrics related activities.
  • Document non-conforming events and quarantine impacted material
  • Perform testing, gather data, and analyze results of product testing and process monitoring.
  • Assist with CAPA activities
  • Use documentation systems to research information and generate Change Requests.
  • Assist in the investigation and disposition of nonconforming materials, designs and/or systems.
  • Review device history records (DHR) and acceptance records to ensure all activities in the Device Master Record (DMR) have been performed and approved.
  • Update databases and spreadsheets used to track, monitor, and report department activities.
  • Use the inventory and traceability management systems to transact and research material.

 

 

What We’re Looking For In You:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Technical background with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Self-motivated individual with a drive to succeed

Preferred Qualifications

  • AA degree or Higher
  • Experience in the medical device field in a quality role
  • Experience in SAP or equivalent MRP system
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Workstation error proofing experience
