Manufacturing Team Lead - Weld - 2nd Shift

Position Description

Directs and coordinates the daily work assignments for members of a production team to facilitate a safe work environment where production schedules and established quality standards are achieved.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Organizes space, equipment and personnel work assignments for successful execution of the production schedule, makes adjustments as necessary.
  2. Works with Team Technicians to overcome technical difficulties and drives quality and productivity improvements.
  3. Documents performance issues and recommends disciplinary actions to Supervisor and Human Resources.
  4. Reviews production schedule monthly and annually to determine number of personnel needed to complete production schedule.
  5. Resolves routine production and personnel problems (i.e. attendance, performance & safety) while reporting non-routine problems to supervisor
  6. Ensures that team members are adequately trained to meet quality standards when performing work assignments and follow established company policies and procedures. .
  7. Completes timely and accurate reporting of accidents, incidents, etc.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Possesses strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use all types of hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of Bill of Material system
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education High School diplomaGeneral Education DegreeExperience Requirements
  • 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Physical & Environmental Requirements Generally good working conditions.Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
