ABOUT “YOUR FUNCTION” – PLEASE UPDATE IF APPROPRIATE

Life Cycle Management is about continuous evaluation and improvement of the portfolio of existing and new products in the portfolio. LCM is a strategic function that provides insights to the management that contribute to the bottom line profit of the company

 

THE ROLE

The incumbent will get the opportunity to flex analytical skills to lead critical thinking and insights towards the health and performance of products. The role involves right sizing analysis of new initiatives as well as leading the process of portfolio optimization of the existing portfolio of products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • POLO SKU Portfolio Management and Optimization: To collect, present and analyze business data related to SKU productivity and performance to drive business decisions on optimization for OPI and POLO brands, such as inventory, shipments, demand, sales levels, C1 and other key measures related to SKU performance
  • VAR and inventory management: to create and maintain the VAR report for Global POLO and Retail hair  brands, and to work with trade marketing teams o VAR discount plans in order to decrease the amount of $ on VAR for both brands. This includes the categorization of VAR and
  • VAR sales process: To work with Trade Marketing to update the VAR sales report, adding items as they appear, updating inventories and cost for sales team to have updated information to push for VAR sales.
  • VAR unblock process: to closely monitor the VAR to become blocked and work on shelf life extensions to avoid E&O hits and allow for VAR sales to continue without disruption. This requires interaction and collaboration with QA & DC multi-functional teams to allow the release on time.
  • POLO Portfolio Catalogue maintenance: To maintain portfolio updated on a monthly basis, reflecting the changes to product status on a timely manner.
  • POLO Initiative Sizing: Data collecting and Management for proper initiative sizing, referring to historical performance of Phase out SKUs and executing VAR/MOQ projections that allow go/no go recommendations from the LCM standpoint; to recommend PIPO strategy for initiatives and update LCM sizing analysis per gate.
  • NA Nail E&O Management: To monitor E&O risk factors for NA Nail business on a weekly basis, identifying and flagging any drastic changes that offer a risk of missing the Quarterly E&O targets for NA Nail (such as big increments on blocked VAR trends, destructions, etc). The Sr. Analyst is expected to drive escalation and propose action plans for risk management on a preventive manner, working together with its counterpart in Hair to drive a full E&O picture to LCM Sr Maager, NA CFO and NA Supply VP.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to drive conclusions, escalation and clear action plans based on data tracking, as well as elevate decision making requests when needed
  • Focused on priorities, adaptable to change and ability to drive team collaboration
  • Organized and process oriented, continuous improvement approach
  • Excel proficiency is a must- Ability to analyze and interpret data, to create trends and pivots from different data sources to drive comprehensive business analysis and conclusions
  • SAP proficiency- Inventory management, product masterdata knowledge
  • SAP BO trained- Required to be able to pull and create the VAR reports for official reporting and for VAR sales action plans
  • JDA management
  • Planning & inventory management skills are highly desirable
  • Basic knowledge of financial data (finance for non-finance expertise is ok), to be familiar with business metrics such as NR, C1, VAR, etc.
