The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the clinical practice and performance of direct care clinical staff (either professional or paraprofessional) as those direct care clinicians provide services to children, adolescents, and families, as appropriate to the program. This position will ensure that services are delivered in compliance with regulatory entities performance specifications, agency policies, procedures and regulations. In addition, this position will ensure that his/her supervisees provide high-quality clinical care in keeping with best practices and that those supervisees attend to risk issues, documentation of care, timeliness of documentation, professionalism, productivity, and administrative issues related to providing clinical care. The Clinical Supervisor will provide direct services to clients at an established productivity proportionate to other responsibilities, as well as serve as an adjunct member of the site’s leadership team and will provide support to program management in the development, implementation, and maintenance of program expectations, practices, and business goals.


  • Compose oneself with professionalism, ethical practice, and compassionate regard for consumers/clients
  • Provide direct clinical care through OP or CBHI services
  • Responsible, with oversight and support from the Director and Assistant Directors of Behavioral Health Services, for mid-year productivity review, annual performance appraisal of supervisees and for addressing and monitoring any areas of performance improvement and/or progressive discipline which may arise
  • Attend to and communicate any issues or concerns related to risk (client risk, staff risk, facility risk, and/or programmatic risk) or ethical misconduct
  • Work to ensure that clinicians meet productivity expectations and provide support, coaching, and training within area of experience
  • Participate in the provision of 24-hour / after-hour coverage for clients, including on-call answering services (weeknights, weekends, and/or holidays) on a rotating basis
  • One or more days serving as the “Licensed Clinician on Duty,” a role that includes: crisis management, address any urgent consumer questions/needs, triage of urgent clinical issues, ensuring that all staff and interns have an on-site contact person, debriefing difficult clinical sessions, and ensuring that the building is empty and closed properly (schedule on these days is typically 12pm-8pm)
  • Customarily and regularly directs the work of six or more employees


  • LICSW license required
  • Experience in providing Outpatient and/or CBHI services required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Massachusetts Child & Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Certification required
