Phlebotomy Coordinator

Non-ExemptJob Summary

Collects specimens from patients and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients, following established standards and practices. Accessions samples into computer system for accurate testing and billing. Performs Point of Care testing as needed. Prepares daily work schedule for specimen collection, and evaluates and distributes workload to phlebotomists. Coordinates daily operations for phlebotomy functions.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.Minimum Education

Certification Program - Vocational/specialized training of 3-12 months

Minimum Experience

1 year

PHLEBOTOMY CERTIFICATION - CPBTSpecific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable)
