Job DescriptionWe are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing salesteam. You will be responsible for identifying, researching, qualifying, and warming up prospective buyers for our Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing system - Illuminate™ Manufacturing Intelligence and suite of remote-enabled, software-assisted digital services.
Digital technologies are transforming manufacturing operations and the way OEMs and Systems Integrators like ATS support their customers. This is an opportunity to commercialize technology like Edge Computing, Augmented Reality and Machine Learning in industrial markets.
The BDR role is a new position within a small team with big ambitions. As such you have the opportunity to define processes, design plays and build the infrastructure needed to scale this function. Only candidates with previous experience working in a sales role will be considered. This is an inside sales role based in our Cambridge, Ontario campus.

Support the outbound sales team in hitting monthly KPIs and revenue targets
Build target account lists informed by Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and Buying Committee Personas
Conduct research to identify and generate new prospects, and uncover new opportunities using a variety of outreach channels, such as phone calls, emails, social media, and events
Deliver compelling explanations of products, services and capabilities to prospects
Gain an in-depth understanding of our product, industry trends, and competitors to strategize creative approaches that will create customer interest and increase engagement
Build relationships with customers and prospects to provide constructive feedback that will inform our product development roadmap and enhance our customer service experience
Work with Technical Sales team to design and manage customized onboarding programs for new customers

Qualifications
Experience in lead generation, prospecting and outbound sales using email, phone, and social media
Personable, able to engage confidently, and enjoy building relationships with people
Know how to identify and anticipate customer needs
Takes ownership of work and is comfortable with working autonomously
A problem solver with a learning and growth mindset
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent in English (spoken & written)
Persistent and results-oriented with motivation for sales
Patient and able to handle customer rejection
University or College Diploma
Nice to haves
Experience setting up and managing an inside salestechnology stack (contact & document management)
Familiarity with Account-based Marketing concepts like Plays, Sequences and Pipeline Velocity
Knowledge of Salesforce
Experience selling manufacturing technology or managed services to industrial enterprises
Experience as telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role in a call center
Bi-lingual – German, Italian, French, or Spanish
