As a member of the VMI team, the VMI Manager will have overall responsibility for VMI team development and the operational performance of our VMI Supply Chain.  The VMI Manager reports to the Supply Chain Manager. As VMI Manager, you will have responsibility for approximately $20 million in annual freight spend and will impact the management of approximately $50 million in inventory.  The expectation is that a high degree of autonomous decision making be made on a daily basis, as well as a high degree of interaction with key stakeholders.

  

To be considered for this position you must have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Science, Operations, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5 or more years of experience within the supply chain, logistics, or transportation field.
  • 2 or more years’ experience managing others. (preferred)
  • 2 or more years of Manugistics, SAP, and Retail experience (preferred).
  • Building products or other flatbed truck product industry experience (preferred).
  • Channel management experience and training (preferred).
  • Excellent negotiation skills and success in directing vendor selection activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability in guiding direct reports to effectively accomplish performance goals.
