Job Summary:

Performs sanitation in tank farm, offices, community areas and breakrooms. Maintains premises at a high level of sanitation throughout the workday.

Essential Functions:

  • Help to maintain general cleanliness and good sanitation in wine processing area, including maintenance of drains, pulling weeds, picking up trash and emptying the garbage
  • Maintains stock levels of sanitation supplies in all storage areas and designated stations throughout the cellar.
  • Able to wear a respirator while performing their work. This could be throughout the day for several minutes at a time.
  • Clean and/or sterilize tanks, hoses, pumps, and other related winemaking equipment
  • Clean company vehicles
  • Use pressure washer to clean floors, walls, and ceilings of facilities
  • Stack and organize cellar supplies
  • Operate a baler
  • Barrel related activities: moving barrels, filling, emptying, topping, additions
  • Responsible for collecting, managing, & organizing all cellar material recyclables & waste
  • Help clean and maintain wood barrels and tanks
  • Use forklift to move equipment and chemicals/fining agents as needed
  • Shuttle cellar chemicals and supplies to other TFE facilities
  • Responsible for understanding TFE’s Quality Management System related activities, including the quality policy, ISO awareness, GMP’s, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirement
  • Food Safety Responsibility: Report problems with the food safety management system to supervisor
  • Education:  High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience: No cellar experience necessary
  • Values Safety and able to work with chemicals in as safe manner
  • Ability to use small hand tools and sanitizing equipment
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work alone
  • Ability to consistently complete assigned routines for sanitizing equipment
  • Ability to properly complete sanitation documents
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written directions
  • Mobility required doing janitor/custodial work for extended periods of time
  • Basic computer literacy preferred
  • Valid California driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean DMV record
Working Conditions:
  • Moderate to heavy physical work
  • Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
  • Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
  • Must comply with all safety equipment requirements including respirator, ear plugs and safety glasses
  • Exposure to various chemicals in production areas
  • Exposure to machinery, forklifts and related production equipment
  • Work schedule will include weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds
