As Data Engineer in Information Delivery Group responsible for all aspects of the delivery of data and analytics solutions that consolidate, store and retrieve structured and non-structured data from multiple applications and sources.   You will partner with the business to influence ways to achieve business priorities and provide leadership through innovation, critical thinking, collaboration and proactive risk management. 


Responsibilities/Essential functions:

  • Partners with business to gather requirements through understanding of business users’ data/analytics needs and challenges 
  • Demonstrates a very good understanding of business area and  supported datasets across different source systems and how they relate to each other
  • In collaboration with more senior associates, leads different parts of data solution delivery along with internal technology, vendor and business partners.
  • Leads the analysis and design of features across multiple layers of the data platform, according to data platform and Machine Learning (ML) environment standards.
  • Provides independent hands-on  contributions to all aspects of development across multiple layers of the data platform
  • Executes and takes accountability for quality assurance activities for entire product; performs testing of both functional and non-functional aspects , leveraging and promoting  automation and a test-early and often approach
  • Collaborates with business, technology, and/or vendor partners to identify options, analyze pros and cons, and assist in making recommendations to business and IT stakeholders.
  • Brings perspective on new data-related technologies that could affect business suggests on appropriate changes and areas of future enhancement.
  • Frequently leads planning, estimation and work break down activities on projects.
  • Proactively identifies and communicates issues, risks, progress to business and IT stakeholders, providing options and next steps.
  • Troubleshoots and supports the entire product, across all layers of the data platform.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years delivering data solutions, data solutions, including big data, visualization and data warehousing
  • Very good knowledge of SQL and big data query tools, like Hive
  • Very good knowledge of programming languages like Python, Spark and/or R 
  • Working experience with distributing computing platforms, Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce
  • Working experience with integration of data from multiple sources, ETL and ELT technologies and tools like Informatica, Alteryx
  • Excellent understanding of traditional RDBMS’ and MPP Databases
  • Data analysis & modelling, BI/visualization skills, tools like Tableau, Power BI, SSRS
  • Understanding of Machine Learning and data mining
  • Working knowledge of Cloud is desirable (AWS, Azure)
  • Excellent technical knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization across large data sets, and exposure to bottlenecks at the storage, network or compute layers
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to continually learn new concepts and technologies and effectively apply them
