Position Title: Administrative Assistant  

Location: This is a Remote position that will support the Great Lakes and Western regions.  Strong preference to be based in one of the following locations: Central Michigan; Denver, CO area; or Chicago, IL area.  Some travel will be required.

Job Summary

 

The Administrative Assistant is a key member of the Chartwells K12 team with responsibility for managing the day-to-day administrative functions of a diverse team.  This position will support the Great Lakes and West Regional Vice Presidents along with their region team members, therefore strong interpersonal skills and prioritization experience will be highly advantageous. The Administrative Assistant provides an array of administrative, research, support and logistics services. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for streamlining administrative procedures while assisting with key strategic initiatives throughout the organization. We’re looking for an energetic professional who has an independent work ethic, is a team player, and can adjust to changing roles and responsibilities as priorities shift.

 

To be successful in this role, you should be proactive, meet deadlines and communicate effectively. As the Administrative Assistant, you should be able to perform administrative tasks to ensure our company’s workflow runs smoothly.
 


Responsibilities:

  • Project Management and alignment of priorities between multiple executive functions
  • Manage daily Calendar of senior executives (to include travel and expenses)
  • Make appointments, travel arrangements and provide scheduling guidance to both internal and external clients
  • Create reports and update internal databases using Microsoft office as well as our internal programs
  • Plan and support both Compass and Chartwells K12 meetings/events
  • Facilitate internal communication within Chartwells K12 and between multiple executives and departments
  • Prepare confidential reports
  • Develop presentation materials as requested
  • Participate as needed in special department projects


 Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years administrative experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Advanced skills in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
