Supply Chain Analyst

Under the general supervision of the Supply Chain Manager the Supply Chain Analyst ensures optimum service levels through accurate forecasting and capacity planning. This role defines and optimizes fulfillment strategies at the SKU level while minimizing inventory valuation/liability by providing accurate and timely data based on sound analysis to support CMC customer needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scheduling: 25%

• Develop and implement daily/weekly production schedule using Epicor ERP

• Create production plans and assist with development of mitigation plans for capacity limitation.

• Coordinate with manufacturing and warehouse to establish accurate customer commit dates.

• Support long-term capacity analysis to ensure reliability of supply.


Inventory Management: 15%

• Define and optimize fulfillment strategies at the SKU level (Make to Stock, Make to Order) that achieve on time and in-full service levels, while minimize inventory valuation/liability.

• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure inventory optimization.


Analysis/Planning: 60%

• Acts as the overall Operations Epicor expert in partnership with the IT team and internal departments to maximize system efficiencies.

• Drives Epicor improvement projects by working with users and IT to define requirements, develop technical solutions, build test scripts/scenarios, training and necessary technical documentation.

• Understand product load in, sell through, inventory, and replenishment at the SKU level.

• Forecast optimum capacity and resource planning.

• Establish and report KPI’s that will be used to manage on-time performance, inventory turns, inventory valuation and measure cash conversion cycles for key product lines.

• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, roll-up sales inputs to update on a monthly basis a rolling 12-month demand and sales forecasts that account for new products and end of life products.

• Account for supply disruptions and capacity constraints within CMC and the supply base that affect CMC’s inventory, on-time delivery, and revenue.

• Collaborate with the Product Operations, Product Management, and Sales to develop seamless end of life and new product launch transitions, minimizing losses resulting from excess and obsolete product.


• Provide rolling 12-month inventory level forecast (units, revenue, and space requirements) using demand forecast loaded to Epicor’s MRP.

• Collaborate with Operations and Customer Service to understand monthly on time and in-full service levels and address the root cause of systemic errors.

• Collaborate with Sales to understand demand forecast accuracy and solve root causes of systemic errors.

• Generate ad hoc reporting to assist the Sales Team with decisions related to forecasting and planning.

• Collaborate with Accounting to develop monthly total cost of inventory ownership and inventory cash flow models and KPIs, which will be used to address root cause of systemic errors.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and creative skills.

• Effective ability to multi-task and routinely handle changes in priorities.

• Customer service oriented, with an ability to act as a change agent, constructively dealing issues.

• Communicate effectively at all levels of the company, from shop floor to CEO.

• Proven deep Excel knowledge and experience with pivot tables, LOOKUP’s, SUMIF, Macro’s etc.

• Expert writing database queries (SQL, BAQ, etc.)


QUALIFICATIONS (Education and Experience)

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or Accounting is preferred.

• APICS certification is highly desirable.

• Extensive ERP demand and supply planning experience (5-8 years), with a strong preference for Epicor.

• Planning experience (3-5 years) in a Lean factory with high mix and low volume is preferred.

• Experience (2-3 years) with demand planning application software preferred.

• Experience (2-3 years) administering and/or using Master Data Management systems preferred.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Working conditions are in a normal office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit and stand; using the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 20 pounds. Successful performance requires good eyesight with or without corrective lens. Requires long periods working at a computer.
