Associate Product Manager

Long Description

Position Purpose
Responsible for developing, planning and performing product management activities of Epson SurePress products.  Collaborates with/Key Customers include SEC, Product Leadership Team, Marketing Communications, Service and Sales.  Must become highly knowledgeable about the SurePress product line, markets and applications.


Key Skills
•    Excellent written and verbal skills.
•    Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
•    Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and PhotoShop.
•    Simple video filming and editing experience and/or an aptitude and willingness to learn.
•    Ability to go to customer locations, research how and why our products are being used, and be able to convey that knowledge.


Principal Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include:

•    Collaborates with product manager and logistics organization to optimize product forecast and product procurement. Participates in the development of annual budget forecasts; participates in updating and reconciling operating and budget plans as required.
•    Provides input to manager regarding SurePress advertising and promotions tactics, including blogs, email campaigns, online and print media.
•    Maintains and co-develops SurePress customer Management Information System (MIS) (e.g. Partner Portal; ERMS; monthly ink rebates; Digital Front End (DFE) functions; Epson print ecosystem maintenance including Franz/Kadenz).
•    Collaborates with product manager and SurePress product specialist in creating and managing print samples and sales collateral.
•    Conducts competitive analysis and benchmarking. Conducts and analyzes market information and provides interpretation.
•    Develops and maintains written departmental standards and procedures.
•    Works closely with Marketing Communications, Documentation, Service, Logistics, SEC, and other groups to guide the product throughout its lifecycle.
•    Supports the company at events, including sales meetings and trade shows.  Collaborates with product manager and Marketing Communications in event and trade show coordination.
•    Builds strong relationships with peers and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives.
•    Under supervision, maintains relationships with industry trade groups, analysts, and publications.
•    With guidance, follows structured processes for a complete product launch and ensures launch time frames are met.
•    Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations.

Minimum Experience Requirements B - Requires some specialist or admin experience (2- 5 years)Education D - Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.).
