Overview Job Description
  • Mental Health Program manager supports the development of Sobeys Mental Health Strategy through the utilization of knowledge, skills and expertise in this area.
  • Ensures the ongoing development, revision, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic direction for specific components of the Mental Health Program
  • Actively contributes to the development and monitoring of overall program direction in collaboration with all stakeholders/partners
  • Program Manager is required to work collaboratively supporting the cross functional strategic steering committee 
  • The Program Manager participates in several committees, councils and work groups, with a range of partners internal and external to Sobeys, in promoting overall mental health initiatives and the specific directions of its various program components.
  • Develop project management tools that will advance the mental health program such as business cases, communication plans, and work plans, to be used by Sobeys branches/regions/divisions and other stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise and support to the employees working on mental health program initiatives 
Job Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the development and implementation of mental health programming
  • A high degree of expertise in independent decision-making, innovative thinking and creativity
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines and committees to achieve excellence in programming
  • Awareness of current best practices and the leading-edge developments in service delivery
  • Experience in a unionized environment preferred
