Diagnostic Imaging PC Technician

Provide the front-line hands on technical support, coordination and maintenance for all technical aspects of the Diagnostic Imaging workstation and server environment for the Information Systems department. Primary focus will be to support PC hardware designated for Radiology, Cardiology, and various ancillary diagnostic systems. Provides a primary focal point for the administration of all personal computer hardware, systems, repair and maintenance, connectivity, software installation, and design for the Diagnostic Imaging Desktop Team. Will work directly with vendors on the analysis of hardware/software issues and perform lab testing as required. Familiarity of DICOM specifications and the ability to configure based on set company procedures and standards. Possess knowledge of computer monitor/display technology as it related to imaging requirements and standards. Understanding of server, storage, and network fundamentals in order to efficiently troubleshoot client connectivity or performance issues. Act as technical liaison for clinical application administrators in determining hardware needs while taking into account the capabilities of the existing infrastructure. Individual will possess knowledge regarding Microsoft AD GPO Management, Microsoft Deployment Tool Kit (MDT), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM), Microsoft PowerShell, Radiology and Cardiology PACS applications, as well as video acquisition. Individual will need to be self-motivated, able to work independently, interact with providers, troubleshoot hardware and software, engage with vendors, and provide input on technical direction of workstation standards. Will need to able to reprioritize projects based on clinical needs of the healthcare system.
