JOB SUMMARY

The Reconciliation Specialist works with both internal and external clients to perform a variety of administrative and transactional tasks pertaining to Entry Control, Statement Processing, Duty Refunds and receptionist coverage.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilize and review daily Adhoc and WIP reports from system for review and accounting for action to ensure timely filing of entries on statements to Customs Border Patrol (CBP). This includes reconciliation of entries under assigned port controls.
  • Fill identified NON-ABI entries in a timely matter. Prepare appropriate letters required for submission to CBP.
  • Review and assess CBP reports which include arrivals, cancellations and/or turnovers in conjunction with the operational teams.
  • Manage and action the daily reports for assigned ports. Includes communication and coordination with Customs, Carriers, and internal client service teams.
  • Maintain recordkeeping retention according to standard operating procedures and Customs regulations.
  • Provide backup relief for receptionist, including visitor log, daily mail, courier activities, facility related tasks.
  • Assist with processing of Duty Refunds and ACH Statement processing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management. 
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.

  • Extremely well organized and efficient.
  • Ability to work in and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle large volumes (approximately 500 transactions daily).

  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of Customs Regulations regarding recordkeeping, statements, duty refunds
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
