Job Summary


The position of Mechanic is open within our farm operations in our TLG Turf division located in Kenansville, FL.


The ideal candidate is an energetic, positive-thinking and motivated individual with high quality standards and an appropriate skill set. This role reports directly to the Shop Supervisor and will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment, both gas and diesel, and maintaining equipment inventory and equipment maintenance records.


The compensation for this position is dependent upon experience. Work shifts will vary with farm operating hours and seasonality.


Job Responsibilities


  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of equipment, both gas and diesel, including hydraulic equipment
  • Performs preventative maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels as needed
  • Maintains inventory records on repairs made, parts ordered and parts inventory
  • Performs repairs such as dismantling engines, testing and inspecting engines to determine malfunctions
  • Responsible for performing field and/or emergency repairs on equipment

Physical Requirements


  • Perform physical activity such as lifting, stooping, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, crouching, and reaching
  • Perform light to very heavy work exerting from 20 pounds of force to 100 pounds of force to move objects
  • Subject to outdoor inclement weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind)

Education/Experience


Graduate from a standard high school or GED program with a minimum of 2 years' work experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of gas, diesel and hydraulic equipment.
