About This Role  

  

Responsible for managing all Incoming Quality Assurance & Component Warehouse related activities. Supervises the flow of components post-SAP Receipt to and from Production (less than 1 day or 24 hours) while proactively communicating potential deviations to plan. Serves as main interface between the following Materials Management departments: planning, production, purchasing. Accurately accounts for all cycle count activities. Process owner for the precious metal storage and inventory.  

  

Responsibilities 

  

  • Supervises 20+ employees in two different areas that use a variety of equipment such as forklifts, active racking, vision systems, hand carts, pallet jacks, etc. to inspect & move raw/sub-assembly material parts and finished products or goods within the plant internal warehouse or offsite warehouse. 

  • Works with production on expedited reservations (less than 2 hours) and understanding where improvements need to be made to ensure floor stock is maintained on the line, which allows MH to fill reservations every 24 hours. 

  • Partners with internal Labs on service level agreements to ensure completed evaluation and results on materials are in a timely manner for release for production use.  

  • Oversees the process of shipping completed sub-assemblies within the site and to external sister-sites while ensuring adequate controls of these activities take place through high quality. Interacting with customer if issues arise. 

  • Maintains and controls the necessary inventory flow for component availability and communicates with buyers when potential shortages might occur. 

  • Communicates and follows up on issues related with component availability. 

  • Ensures component cycle counts are executed daily/weekly/monthly as planned to reach annual count coverage and that discrepancies are investigated and documented accordingly with appropriate form and signatures. 

  • Participates/Leads tiered meetings to ensure proactively on performance targets: Daily pass-down within the Material/IQA team, Daily Materials Management Department pass-down, weekly Material/IQA team, etc.  

  • Analyze the process for training (and continuously improve) while assigning the appropriate lead trainer(s) within the team to develop new inspectors and material handlers while hitting cross-training goals  

  • Coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineers & Buyers to develop improvements to the current state: special crating, packing requirements (e.g. ESD), reduced package size or any other special activities. 

  • Participates in evaluating metrics (e.g. Safety, Quality, Inspections, Stocking, Reservations filled, etc.) monthly and annually for year over year improvements. 

  • Responsible for all Precious Metal storage (platinum, freezer, refrigerator) and shipments to external vendor and approving access to vaults. 

  • May lead or participate on other Materials Management projects to meet the business needs in our 1-3 year Strategic Objectives. 

 

Job Requirements 

  

  • BA/BS degree with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Receiving, Dispatch, Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory Controls and logistics preferred.   

  • Minimum of 2+ years of leadership or management experience coaching employees on performance, accountability and attendance. 

  • Proven history of Lean projects led and completed that drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost. 

  • Organized and ability to multi-task while maintaining adequate documentation skills. 

  • Patient and levelheaded 

  • Travel ~10% domestically 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills  

  • Working in FDA regulated industry is a plus
