Job Description

The Customer Onboarding Specialist will support the sales team in both acquisition and retention of customers through analysis of customer data, process improvement, and identification of opportunity across all lines of business and successful integration of the business into Purolator.


  • Transportation: Provide Integrated transportation distribution solutions in small parcel & LTL environments, with an holistic approach (Operations, Automation, Administration, etc)
  • Project Management: Responsible for the creation and management of implementation schedules and teams to successfully integrate the customer into Purolator. Development of project resource plans and master schedules as well as analyzing impact of shifting volumes. Leading project reviews, conducting project risk assessments and project recovery assistance.
  • External customers: Support sales in customer business reviews. Process mapping of customer’s internal processes (life of an order) and evaluate and provide cost efficiency solutions. Develop standardized customer profiles and identify synergies to drive innovative cost reduction initiatives.
  • Internal customers: Develop and manage relationships with internal customer where contact involve probing and interpretation in dealing with complex or sensitive issues and/or gaining cooperation with accountability for reaching agreement. Coordination of functional meetings as required with internal/externalcustomers.
  • Reporting and Analyses: Summary level reporting of project schedules. Analysis of customer data and ability to translate into opportunity and customer fit within the Purolator network and lines of business.


Qualifications :

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience ; Operations / Cross-Functional team / Project Management
  • Solid business & financial acumen, and strong understanding of Marketing and Sales principles
  • Courier/Logistics/ Transportation / Distribution Background
  • Ability to lead continuous improvement projects for productivity enhancement
  • Proficiency in MSOffice, MS Project, Spreadsheets, databases and database tools, Visio (Flow Charting
  • tools), TMS/WMS software
  • Analytical mind, ability to make decisions and solve problems in a time sensitive environment
  • An ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization in a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, political sense, and customer service skills
